The creative curriculum is one of the best teaching strategies for early learning because it focuses on the development of the whole child. It strives to be innovative, responsive, supportive, comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate.

The Creative Curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children within four main categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language. The social/emotional stage helps promote independence, self-confidence and self-control.

   The Developmental Continuum is a component of the Creative Curriculum and provides the teacher with a tool for the collection of information, work samples, and anecdotal notes. This assessment is a standardized system for recording and reporting a child's progress.
